ICA in Israel
Branding · Digital · Website I at Giraff Branding

The ICA Foundation (Jewish Colonization Association) is a philanthropic organization originally founded in 1891 by Baron Maurice de Hirsch to support Jewish emigration and agricultural settlement.

For the redesign of the ICA Foundation's visual identity, I developed a new logo and cohesive design system inspired by the symbolic imagery of wings — a metaphor for empowerment, freedom, and growth.

This concept reflects the foundation’s core philosophy: rather than offering short-term aid, it provides the tools and knowledge necessary for long-term independence, much like the principle of “teaching a person to fish rather than giving them a fish.” The wings represent this spirit of self-realization and elevation, capturing the Foundation’s mission to help individuals and communities soar to new heights.

The ICA Foundation focuses on three key areas: Education, Agriculture, and Economic Development. To represent each field, I designed a dedicated icon, all derived from the distinctive wing shape of the foundation’s logo.
